Originally constructed in the late 19th century as a hotel, University Hall is an 1890 Victorian Italianate brick building with sandstone foundations. The retained historic curved façade at the corner of Glebe Point Road and Broadway remains a defining architectural feature of the site. In the 1990s, the building was substantially redeveloped, incorporating additional wings and upper-level additions behind and to either side of the original façade. Today, University Hall operates primarily as student accommodation, comprising residential units supported by communal facilities.
